The Office
Kris Ericsson
Director. Former Knight Frank Partner and Office Head.

Kris Ericsson has spent over twenty years in prime London property, advising private owners, family offices and institutions.
At Knight Frank he worked in the South Kensington office before opening and leading the Battersea and Nine Elms office as Partner and Office Head, from its first day. In 2019 he co-founded Smith & Ericsson.
He is also a partner in Prime London Lettings and Off Market London Property. Each business acts under its own instructions, terms of business and fees.
Born in Sweden, Kris speaks English, Swedish and Spanish, and works regularly with international owners and their advisers. He holds an MSc from Cass Business School, now Bayes Business School, and has completed a certificate programme with Harvard Business School Online.
He leads each Smith & Ericsson instruction personally. Clients deal with him directly, from the first conversation onwards.
Our principles
- One accountable director. Kris Ericsson leads each instruction personally and remains your point of contact.
- A written mandate. What we oversee, what we may spend and what remains your decision are agreed in writing before we begin.
- Your money. We do not hold client money. Rent is paid into a client account held by our independent client accounting firm, or directly to you.
- Clear records. Costs, contractor instructions and owner approvals are recorded in your property file and reflected in your reporting.
- Discretion. Your name, address and affairs are treated in confidence. A confidentiality agreement is available on request.
Discretion in practice
Our work concerns private homes and personal arrangements. We do not identify clients or their properties in our marketing, and a confidentiality agreement is available on request.
